A generic story can put a child's name into a template. A genuinely personal one is shaped by who they are. When you set up Story Nest, you tell it a few things about your child, and every story is written from them:

• Their name and pronoun — they are the hero of every story, addressed the way you'd address them.
• The things they love — dinosaurs, diggers, the seaside, football, princess castles, the moon — woven into the adventure.
• A story world and tone — magic and fantasy, everyday adventures, animals, space, classic bedtime, faith-based, or a gentle mix; calm and soothing, gently adventurous, or fun and silly.
• An age band — so the length and language fit a two-year-old or a nine-year-old.
• Anything to avoid — nothing scary, no spiders, skip the dark; whatever your child finds worrying stays out.

How the app works

Create each child's profile once, then add a real moment or choose a story world whenever you want their next bedtime story prepared.

• 1. Tell us about your child. Name, age, the things they love, the world they'd like, and anything to avoid.
• 2. Prepare their next story. A distinct, gentle adventure is written to those details and recent story history.
• 3. Read it at bedtime. The story waits in the app for its scheduled bedtime rather than interrupting the current night.
• 4. Keep and steer it. Save favourites, continue a world, request another like it or update the child's profile.

You can choose a fresh adventure each night, or an ongoing series set in the same world with the same characters — whichever your child prefers.

Personalised subscription vs a free story generator

There are free tools that will generate a one-off story if you type in a prompt. They can be fun to try. But bedtime, night after night, is a different job:
